Photoshop Press And Clone Technique (TAQTV+)

This tutorial demonstrates my classic Mixer Brush clone-painting technique, which I originally developed in Photoshop CS5. This technique works flawlessly in every version of Photoshop to-date, including all CC versions.

In this project I’ll demonstrate the entire process of cloning a portrait directly from a photographic source image in Photoshop, using the Mixer Brush Tool.
This is a technique I’ve developed myself, and it uses a particular quirk of the Mixer Brush Tool which means that the tool is able to sample the colour, tonal and detail information from the photographic source image layer, so even if you can’t paint, with practice you’ll be able to create very effective painted portraits in no time at all, with a little practice.
